FS-Boot is intended to be compiled and linked as part of the Xilinx EDK's make libs / make program hardware build phase. The FS-Boot binary image is inserted by the tools into the FPGA configuration file, so that it executes immediately upon system start.
All EDK reference designs shipped with PetaLinux are pre-configured to build FS-Boot as the default software application.
To add FS-Boot to a custom hardware platform, refer to the Adding FS-Boot Section for more information.
