Overview

PetaLinux version 0.30 is a major release that includes support for new kernel version, platforms and tools. These Release Notes will cover what's new for PetaLinux v0.30.

What's New in this release

Software

  • Kernel support for uncached shadow memory allowing faster ethernet DMA
  • Loadable module support
  • Full SGDMA support for the Xilinx Ethernet MAC
  • SysV IPC support for MicroBlaze
  • Support for the MicroBlaze PVR (processor version register) to manage CPU features and caches
  • Partial support for Intel flash query table version 1.4
  • Support for MicroBlaze added to GNU autoconf applications and libraries in petalinux-dist
  • Miscellaneous cleanup and bugfixes in the kernel and drivers
